functional medicine health coaching

By now, you’re a Work-From-Home (WFH) Warrior!

Your dreams of working on a remote island overlooking 180 degree ocean views has not come to fruition (just yet!). But your inviting home office corner, complete with desk and chair, a couple of house plants, and (finally!) a window, will suffice.

You love the perks of working from home but after years of feeling like you always have to be online, working long hours (screen time is off the charts), not getting enough quality sleep, and becoming more forgetful, you’re exhausted and BURNOUT is setting in.

I realized after 11 years of working in-person in tech and 2 years working remote while going back to school for health coaching, my health suffered (oh the irony!) and I could not be the only one. As driven, high achievers, we tend to put expectations on ourselves to take on more responsibilities, multi-task, and put others needs first. At what cost? Being overworked, not getting quality sleep, becoming more forgetful, longing for more, losing a sense of self, and feeling consumed with responsibilities.

You are looking for more work-life balance, calmness, to feel less overwhelmed and more organized, to feel well rested, capable of pivoting more easily, going with the flow, and for more “me” time.

I am here to remind you that it is okay to say “no”. And that it is possible to both crush it at work AND make time for yourself and your family.

Flash forward to your future self…You’ve become a master of utilizing those pockets of time to recenter and fill up your cup. You are comfortable setting boundaries and saying no more regularly to prioritize time for yourself. You are actually using that unlimited PTO that you deserve! You make sure the most important things still get done by letting go of complete control of everything at work and at home. You are becoming more trusting of others to carry their weight.

Your future self takes risks. You don’t necessarily know the outcome but are willing to bet on yourself, the belief that you can truly have it all. Choosing to go against the norm and design another way to live that is fulfilling and rewarding. Not wasting any more time dreaming—instead doing. Taking active steps toward achieving your dreams, reminding yourself that you are safe, capable, and strong.

You want to find yourself again.

Here’s the thing…we all lead very different lives, and our priorities, needs and desires differ! So there is not one way to approach work-from-home burnout. That is where coaching can help! I’ll work with you one-on-one to define what work-life balance means to YOU. And from there, we will co-create goals over the next three months to get you closer to your ideal state of being. The coaching conversation is unique, supportive, and thought provoking. You’ll leave each session with at least one “Aha!” moment and a well thought out game plan for the weeks ahead.

I have been coaching since 2018. I became a Nationally Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) in 2022. With my clients, I use motivational interviewing, positive psychology, stages of change, and strengths-based coaching which are evidence-based techniques to promote behavior and lasting lifestyle changes. Additionally, I have received multiple certifications in functional medicine, integrative medicine, breath work, and heart coherence.

If I had to choose that #1 thing that helped me the most, it would definitely be breath work. A little goes a long way and it is surprisingly simple. We just have to relearn how to breathe! The hardest part is recognizing that feeling of overwhelm and catching it. Pause, notice if you are taking in more small breaths of air, and instead take in fewer deep, intentional breaths.

Join my mailing list to be guided through a short, three minute breathing exercise that will help you do just that. I call it “Water Breathing” so you can think of it as a safe exercise you can do at any time of day, as many times as you like.

Breathe with me!

I’d love to hear what you are interested in learning more about so that I can better serve you!
